So as apart of the bookish community, we all know that there is a lot of hype surrounding certain books. As someone who constantly is on the look out for new books to read, I’m always scrolling through social media to find my new buy. So, naturally, there are books that I have that I probably wouldn’t have bought because of the hype.
I’ve always said that I’m never going to follow the hype and I’m never going to buy a book by Sarah J. Maas. Ever. Well, one day while shopping in Target, I noticed this was the only book that had on their shelves that I haven’t bought or read yet.
I took a shot. I started reading it the same day I purchased it. I’m not going to lie, if I couldn’t have gotten into it, I would have returned it. But I started flying through it and fell in love.
Since reading this book, I have purchased every book that Sarah J. Maas has released and I am not ashamed.
This is a book that I was seeing everywhere, even before it was released. I was kind of iffy about picking it up and I almost didn’t. I somehow managed to buy it on it’s release date.
I think I read it about a month after purchasing it. I don’t think it’s worth all the hype it’s getting. I liked it but I didn’t love it.
So this is 100% a hype buy. I bought the entire series. All three books plus The Becoming Of Noah Shaw. I haven’t even read any of them yet. I just bought them all on a splurge.
I have high hopes for these books. I’m going to be so mad if they disappoint me.
Like the Mara Dyer trilogy, I bought this entire trilogy. I’ve heard so many great things about these books. Have I read them yet? No way! When do I plan on getting to them? Who knows? I’m really scared that this series is going to disappoint me and I’d rather not live with that disappointment.
