Top Ten Tuesday // Rainy Day Reads

I’m not the type of person to read books based off the weather. I just never see the point. I live in Florida. It’s either really hot or it’s raining. I’m just going to list ten books that I think you should read. These are probably going to be gloomy books because that’s how I’m feeling right now. Six Of Crows by Leigh Bardugo: I’m actually still in the process of reading this book. So far, it seems like the kind of gloomy read one would enjoy on a rainy day. I’m enjoying it for the most part, I just really wish it would pick up the pace. Three Dark…

Top Ten Tuesday // Crazy Things I’ve Done For The Love Of Books

I’m sure we’ve all done something crazy for the love of books. I’m not sure if I’m going to be able to list exactly ten things. Maybe only a couple. What are some crazy things you’ve done for the love of books? I’m probably going to get shit for this, I’ve put off bills to buy books. I’ve paid some bills late in order to be able to purchase a book or two. No, I do not do this anymore. I’ve learned how irresponsible that is and I don’t ever want to risk losing something because of a book I want. I used to go to the dollar tree because…

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I LOVED With Fewer Than 2,000 Ratings On Goodreads

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme by The Artsy Reader. This weeks topic is “Books I Loved with Fewer than 2,000 Ratings on Goodreads”. I’m not going to lie, it was kind of hard going through the books I’ve read trying to find books I loved with less than 2,000 ratings on Goodreads. I was only able to come up with eight books. I’m trying my best to not change the topics and stay by the original one. 1. The Last Wish Of Sasha Cade by Cheyanne Young: This book broke my heart. It also mended it. It’s such a great book.2. Me & Milo The Great by Michelle…

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Meant To Read In 2018 But Didn’t Get To

As we all know, being a mom and working full-time means I don’t have too much extra time. Which also means, I didn’t get to every book I wanted to last year. I really wish I had an endless amount of time to read. Oh, how nice it would be! Be sure to leave your answers in the comments as well. I’d love to know what books you guys didn’t get to in 2018. Children Of Blood And Bone by Tomi Adeyemi: I was very excited about this book releasing. As everyone else was in the book community. I just haven’t picked it up. I blame that mostly on the…

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I’m Grateful For

I figured, I can do this one. It’s a freebie and I’m sure there’s a decent amount of books I’ve read that I’m grateful for. With Thanksgiving around the corner and everyone will be giving thanks, I decided I’m going to give thanks to these amazing books that I’ve read and adored. Some of these books are really important to me in many ways. I’ll get descriptive with each book that I post. With that being said, here are the books that I’m grateful for. Also, I’m not going to include Harry Potter in this list. Yes, I am grateful for Harry Potter. Beyond grateful. I just think it’s something…

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Need To Read Before 2018 Ends

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ This weeks topic was a Halloween/Creepy freebie. Well, I have a Halloween-type post that I have scheduled for tomorrow so I’ve decided to stray away from the creepy vibes. There are many books I need to read before this year is done with so I thought I would share with you guys! I know there’s no way in hell I’ll be able to…

Top Ten Tuesday: Longest Books I’ve Read

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. So, I know it’s Thursday. It’s obviously not Tuesday. I still wanted to do this because I feel like I haven’t really posted in a while and why not make a short list right? I don’t always read long books. I sometimes find them intimidating. Sometimes I like reading them. Sometimes I don’t. I guess it really depends on the books! Here’s my…

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books By My Favourite Authors That I Still Haven’t Read

Like I’ve stated before, I’m not going to go above and beyond with these kinds of posts. I won’t post a picture for every book listed but I will link it to Goodreads. With that being said, here are some books by some of my favorite authors that I haven’t read yet. A Court Of Frost And Starlight by Sarah J. Maas: I’m not sure why I didn’t pick this book up as soon as it was delivered. I’m scared to read it, honestly. I’ve read some mixed reviews and it makes me nervous about this book. Slammed by Colleen Hoover: I haven’t read this trilogy yet. I’m always a…

Top Ten Tuesday: Books To Pull You Out Of A Reading Slump

For me, short contemporaries will take me out of a reading slump. If I read a really long fantasy, like I’m about to do, I always go to a short contemporary afterward. I always have to sit and think about fantasy books after I finish them and they always make me stop reading. I feel like something short and sweet will get me in the mood to read again. Which is why I normally tend to switch off reading fantasy and contemporary or romance. This list is going to contain all books that I have read and that have taken me out of a reading slump. I hope you guys…
